Fishes    דגים

סדרת ציורים זו החלה בחוויה קולינארית - אכילת דג. הדג הוגש לי בצלחת צלוי על האש והתוצאה לפניכם. משהו לא ברור השפיע עלי, אולי מבטו של הדג, אולי יופיו, אולי השלד והראש שנותרו ממנו. 

הדג הוא סמל. יש בו מהקדושה ומהאמונה. גם בעולם הקדום וגם בימינו אלה מקשטים בצורות הדג כלים, ציורים, קירות, מקדשים ועוד. הדג סמל ידוע ביהדות ובנצרות, מקור לסיפורים, לאגדות, למחקר, למזון ולריפוי.

בסדרה זו רציתי להעביר את תחושתי כלפי הדגים מנקודת המבט שלי.

This series started from a culinary experience - eating a fish. The fish was served to me on a plate baked in the oven and the result is in front of you. Something unclear influenced me. Maybe it’s the fish gazing at me, maybe it’s his beauty, maybe the skeleton and the head that was left from it.

The fish is a symbol. There is holiness in it. In the ancient world, and even in these days, the shape of the fish decorates dishes, paintings, walls and temples. The fish is a known symbol in the Judaism and in the Christianity. A source of stories, tales, research, food and heal.

In this series I wanted to transfer my feelings toward the fishes from my own perspective.
